Trick or Treating with Mickey and Friends
This evening we went to California Adventure to Trick or Treat with a few of Jacob's friends, 6 to be exact. We had a GREAT time and are all pooped out after a fun evening. Jacob dressed as Buzz Lightyear and took his pumpking to all the "treat" spots to fill up on some good stuff including apple slices, raisins and of course, CANDY (which fortunately, he has no clue how good the stuff is!). He was just excited to see the person putting stuff in his pumpkin.
Jacob was wandering around, when all of a sudden Mickey and Minnie walked by. He RAN so fast to try to catch up to them. They walked down some stairs and I seriously have never seen Jacob go down stairs faster in his life. He was so cute. So of course we waited in line to take a picture with them. He had fun running around with his friend as daddy waited in line. I was wondering what he was going to do when he actually got up there with them. The last time we tried taking a picture with a character, he got up to them and then started crying. So I tried prepping him saying he was going to give Mickey a high five and give Minnie a big hug. Well, I don't think any prepping was necessary. When it was his turn he RAN right up to them and gave Minnie a big hug and then gave Mickey a high five. Minnie continued to hug him as we took a picture of the three of them. Then mommy and daddy got in the picture too. Jacob was such a good boy.
We continued on and rode the carousel and then made our way over to another area where there was lots of music. We stopped to "bounce around" and then Pluto appeared followed by Daisy Duck. Jacob was so excited. Daisy gave him and his friends BIG LONG hugs. Jacob danced with Pluto and Clarabell Cow and then followed Daisy in a conga line. It was so cute to see the kids dancing around with some of their favorite characters and friends. Jacob had a BLAST. After the dancing we made our way over to take a picture with Handy Manny and Quincy and June from Little Einsteins, one of Jacob's favorite shows.
Lastly we took a picture with Belle and Pocohantas. Jacob gave each of them a BIG hug. I think he liked them, as he should, they are both very pretty princesses.
We all had a wonderful time. He was so cute dressed up in his Buzz Lightyear costume and got LOTS of candy. Fortunately, Daddy is going into work tomorrow, so his employees will have lots of candy to eat :)
so until next time...mommy and daddy love you!

Sunday we took Jacob to Irvine Park. He LOVED the train. The whole time on the train he was pointing to everything we passed. He really enjoyed passing the pond full of ducks. He must have said "duck" over 20 times. After the train ride we waited in line to ride the pony. Jacob was such a good boy waiting in line even though it was close to his nap time. He had a great time riding his pony, Aspen. He like petting too. He looked like such a big boy riding that pony. Of course, we took TONS of pictures. After the pony ride we walked around the pumpkin patch. Jacob's favorite part was putting his head through the holes to take a picture of him as something else. (See picture for better explanation). We spent about 5 minutes at the piggy picture but were unable to take a picture there because our dumb camera wasn't working there. Anyway, he loved pointing to all the pumpkins and walked through the haystack maze.

Tuesday was mommy's birthday. We started the day with breakfast and then we went to Jacob's Little Gym class with daddy, who took the day off to spend with mommy. After Little Gym we went to get a smoothie with mommy's friends. Later in the evening Nani and Papa came over for dinner. We ordered Panera and ate at home. Jacob was couging a lot and I didn't want to take him out. Everyone sang happy birthday to me and Jacob helped me blow out the candle. He did a great job and blew out the candle all by himself.
Today we are just going to relax at home. He's still coughing a little bit and really hasn't gotten a break. So today will be his low-key day.
Yesterday Bill picked his new motorcycle. Jacob and I went with him to the Harley shop to pick it up. Jacob was excited to see daddy's new "kycle" and daddy let him sit on it. I could tell Bill was really excited to finally get it. Jacob and I followed him home and even though we were behind him, we saw the smile on his face as he was riding (even though he was trying to look tough).
He got a fire hat, football, frisbee and even had a snow cone. The snow cone was a snow cone hold the syrup, so basically he had ice, but he was thoroughly enjoying it until he dropped it inside the Police Car! Fortunately, it was just ice. He even got to pet the rescue dog and two different snakes. He really liked petting the snake but didn't like it when the handler showed Jacob the head of the snake. He backed away from it quickly...at least he's smart! Then we sat and watched the firemen demonstrate how they would get someone out from underneath a tipped car. They busted out the windshield, used the "jaws of life" and lifted the truck so they could get the person out. It was pretty cool to watch. What was even better was the Jacob was still through the entire demonstration that lasted a good 10-15 minutes. I couldn't believe it. He must have been tired or something.
