Bill and Miss (plus two)

Jacob has his second dentist appointment on Tuesday.  He was such a GOOD BOY!  I started prepping him on Monday about what was going to happen and he did great.  When they called his name, he walked to the back, picked out a Thomas the Train movie and went and sat on the chair.  The assistant put on headphones and some sunglasses (to keep the bright light out of his eyes).  he looked like such a cool dude laying there on the chair.  He opened his mouth extra wide for her while she cleaned his teeth.  He didn't even budge while she was cleaning and flossing his teeth.  Then the dentist came to check for cavities and he had NO CAVITIES!!!  I guess all the brushing has paid off.  After his visit was over he got to play with the train table for a little bit and then he went to search for a toy in the treasure chest.  He was there for at least a couple of minutes seeing all the toys he could choose from.  He got out 4 dinosaurs and 3 cars and started playing with them right there on the floor.  I was finally able to get him to pick out only one, the black dinosaur, and then he left with his balloon in hand. 

when we got to the car, the balloon was in there with him and then all of a sudden it escaped and floated high in the sky.  Jacob wasn't so sad and when I asked him what happened he said, "balloon flew up to see Jesus"  oh my goodness, how precious is that!

The dentist told me that we have to start flossing his teeth now, oh great, something else to add to our night time routine.  That night I told him that I had to floss his teeth and that if we did that and brushed our teeth everyday then he can get another toy from the treasure chest.  Ever since then whenever we brush his teeth he says that he is brushing his teeth so he can get something out of the treasure chest.  I guess we will be saying this for the next 6 months...it might be a long 6 months and lets hope that that thought in his head actually works.  He's been really good about brushing his teeth in the morning and evening, and he's actually been good about flossing his teeth too.  Now I think we need to add another brushing in the middle of the day after lunch.
