About Jake
Jacob is just as active as ever. I don't think the boy knows what sitting down and relaxing means. He ALWAYS wants to be moving, running, climbing or whatever.
Last Thursday we went to Stroller Strides, but it was sprinkling pretty hard and looked like it was going to rain, so Miss Kelly cancelled class. I really didn't want to take Jacob home, mainly because that would have been a full day for him to be inside the house and that would not have been good. So, Christina, Christian, Jacob and I went to Wild Kingdom a place where they have a bunch of bounce houses inside this big warehouse. Jacob doesn't really like to "jump" too much, but there is a big area for the kids to run around and play with other toys. Daddy met us there for a little fun. They boys had a great time running around and jumping. After about an hour of play in one room the opened up another room where they had a basketball hoop and Jacob went crazy. Then we went in this bounce house that had a basketball hoop inside it and Jacob and daddy played basketball for a long time in there while mommy jumped in the house! I may have missed my workout that day, but I sure did get a good workout jumping around...I was perspiring by the end of our time there.
On Friday after our workout class and play time at the park Jacob and I joined Brixie Lee (Jacob's new girlfriend) and her mommy for some frozen yogurt. Malaya and her mommy met us there and the kids had a GREAT time running around the yogurt place. I think this was the first time ever that Jacob was the only boy there. So he was able to have ice cream with two pretty girls! they were so cute chasing eachother around the place. I felt bad for the workers there...they had to endure the screaming babies! Jacob took a good nap...I imagine he was dreaming about his "date" with TWO pretty girls. Later that afternoon/evening we met Grandma and Grandpa at Macaroni Grill to celebrate Grandpa's birthday. Jacob was a good boy at the restaurant and drew lots of pretty pictures on the table for his Grandpa. he also drew a very pretty picture on his Grandpa's birthday card.
Friday night, Jacob did not sleep well at all, and neither did mommy or daddy. So Saturday morning when I woke up early for my meeting, I was not a happy camper. After the meeting I picked up Jacob to go to workout. nani joined us and had a good time working out with Jacob. After some playtime at the park we went home for a short nap and then went shopping with Nani. We had to cut the shopping short to get home to watch the UCLA basketball game...only to watch them lose to Memphis in the final four game! UGH...Jacob was not happy about that. At night, he was sitting on the couch with daddy watching the other college basketball game and ended up falling asleep on the couch watching the game...a typical male! The good thing was he slept ALL NIGHT!!!!! Not one peep out of him the enitre night!
Sunday morning Jacob woke up at 6, we all got ready early, went to get coffee/tea at Coffee Bean and Jacob played around with his truck in the store. Luckily there was no one else in there because he was making his truck crash off the chairs and stuff. He may be little, but he sure can make a lot of noise! Then we were off to church. He went to "Sunday school" again. He cried when we dropped him off, but when we picked him up they said he was great and especially had a great time when they took them outside...I'm sure he loved that part a lot. After church we went with Chris and Leanne to lunch. We haven't seen them in a long time and Jacob was a good boy, even though we cut into his nap time by about 1 1/2 hours! He came home and slept for 2 hours! On the way home we saw a man riding a scooter down a steep hill and crash. Bill stopped the car to make sure he was okay. He was fine, but I think he either broke or dislocated his wrist becasue his wrist was swelling up, but he could move it. Anyway, we felt like we were good samaratins today stopping to help the guy.
So that's been our end of the week. Tomorrow Auntie Erin and Aiden are coming over to play. We haven't seem them in a couple of months so we're excited to get the boys together. So until next time...mommy and daddy love you!
