About Jake
This morning we went to church and it was the first time we put Jacob in "Sunday School" so we could actually listen attentively to what the pastor was saying. It wasn't actually "school" it was more like playtime for him. I was a little nervous because this was the first time I've ever left him with someone who wasn't family! We got there early and found out where he goes. He is considered a little lamb...so cute. Anyway, we dropped him off and he was so eager to get out of my arms because he saw all the toys in the room. He left my arms no problem. I was the one with the problem. Bill and I walked out and watched him through the window outside. He went right in and started playing with toys and then spotted another little boy and went next to him and hopped on the Thomas train. Of course this whole time I'm looking through the window with tears in my eyes. I don't know how those working mommies do it. I was only leaving him for 1 1/2 hours and I was seriously balling my eyes out. I was actually able to listen to the message this morning, but my mind strayed a lot thinking of him playing with all the other kids. There were a few times when I kind of chuckled to myself and Bill heard me and asked if I was thinking about Jacob...I nodded yes and he said he was too! When we went to pick him up the lady said he did great! He was crying a little when we got him, but I think mainly because he was hungry. I don't think they give them any snacks and he's used to a mid morning snack. Luckily I had some snacks in my purse...good mommy. I think he enjoyed himself overall and now that the first time is over with, I'm sure it will get easier next week.
