About Jake
This afternoon some mommies and kids from stroller strides decided to go to the movies to see Dr. Suess' Horton Hears A Who. I was hesititant about taking Jacob, but then figured, if he's really bad then we'll just leave. There were four kids there, Jacob, Christian, Brixie Lee, and Malaya. They all had their booster seats and snacks. Jacob had some milk, apple juice, goldfish and veggie booty. He was ready to watch the movie. He sat next to his best bud, Christian. He actually did really well for about 30 minutes. He sat there watching the movie and snacking on his snacks. It was kind of scary to see how good he was at watching the movie and eating...he looked just like a grown-up chowing on popcorn at the movies. After about 30 minutes he was "done" he wanted out of his seat and then was on and off my lap for about 15 minutes. Then he wanted to walk around. So he was walking up and down the aisle, pointing out each little light on the floor. Then we ventured outside the theater into the lobby. Brixie Lee was out there playing running around so he joined her. They "played" the car arcade for awhile and then it was time to go back into the theater to watch the end. He did pretty well for the end of the movie.
While mommy made dinner tonight, daddy and Jacob were running around playing and being boys. He is really becoming more and more attached to his daddy. They really love each other. As the evening progressed, Jacob got hold of his stuffed basketball and decided to make it a pillow. Daddy had to capture that moment.
Jacob has been doing okay at night the last couple of nights. Two nights ago he only woke up once and last night he woke up 2 or 3 times...can't remember. But all he needed each of those times was for me to get his Paci that fell on the floor. I have to come up with some device that will keep that paci from slipping through the slits of the crib, but I don't want to put the bumpers back up. Maybe I can invent something and make millions of dollars then daddy can stay home with Jacob too! hehe
Alright, time to rest up for tomorrow. So until next time...mommy and daddy love you!
