About Jake
Jacob definitely makes me laugh a lot (and cry a little). Lately he's been going through a "lovey" stage. In the mornings and between 4 and 5 he becomes very lovey to me and his daddy. He LOVES to give kisses. He's finally learned to close his mouth to give kisses, though once in a while he will surprise us with a big open mouthed one. When he gives us a kiss he alwasy makes the "MUWA" sound with it. It is so cute. The other day I was sitting on the couch and daddy was sitting on the chair. Jacob walked back and forth between the two of us giving us kisses. So adorable. This morning he woke up a little early for me. I was still very tired, so I brought him into bed with me and I just layed there while sat up trying to get me to get out of bed. He leaned over and started kissing me. What a great morning that was, waking up to wonderful kisses from my little boy.
Monday night our cousin was scheduled for a C-section to deliver Jacob's newest cousin, Katherine Mary Ulloa born on July 7. When we sat down for dinner it was right around the time the delivery was scheduled for. So Jacob folded his hands in "prayer position" and he even closed his eyes (well for a little bit) as we said a prayer asking for a smooth delivery and a healthy baby. We heard the good news about her birth she was born at almost the exact time we said the prayer. She was born at 6:37pm and I know we said our prayer at a little after 6:30...too cool! Our prayers worked too!
Yesterday Jacob had another day at Little Gym. He really enjoys himself there. We went to the park in the morning for mommy's workout and he was CRYING so hard when we walked passed the park. He wanted to play at the playground, but we had to get to little gym. When we pulled into the parking lot of the Little Gym, he got excited and ran into the door. He was NONSTOP the entire time we were there. Daddy was able to join us for our lesson. He had lots of fun running aroud with Jacob. Jacob is getting a lot better at his forward rolls and his favorite parts of the morning are playing with the balls, exploring time (when they can basically run around and do whatever they want) and of course the bubbles. On the way out he got 5 truck stamps, one on each hand and each foot and one on his belly becasue he was showing Miss Melissa his bellybutton and she stamped his belly. After that outing we went to Hallmark. He was a chatterbox when we first got there, then all of a sudden he was silent. When I looked down at him, he was OUT! I was able to transfer him from the stroller to the car, then from the car to the crib and he slept for 3 HOURS! I could not believe it.
this morning we went to the park for our workout then we all went to the bounce house place to jump around. Jacob loves to run around that place. We were there for a couple of hours then went to Chick Filet with his friends for lunch. He ate his lunch and then played for a little while in the play area there. We left at 12:30 and he was asleep before we hit the freeway entrance which is about less than a minute from the restaurant. Tonight we are going to the Concerts in the Park. It's mommy and daddy's anniversary, but we are going to spend the evening with our baby listening to some country music.
So until next time...mommy and daddy love you!
